They work to improve productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness with our supply base. They also ensure that the supply chain can meet production demands. Job DescriptionResponsibilities Develop strategy: Create and implement strategies for sourcing in Nidec Power-Leroy Somer NA. Manage suppliers: Find suppliers, manage agreements, and build relationships. Analyze data: Use data analytics to identify areas for improvement on the supply chain. Coordinate activities: Work with other teams to ensure supply chain capacity meets production needs. Negotiate: Negotiate commercial conditions with suppliers. Find solutions: Find creative solutions to problems that may impact the organization ensuring cost-effectiveness. Influence others: Influence peers and suppliers to adopt a different point of view, driving supply chain improvements. Qualifications/Requirements Experience as commodity SQE / SQA / buyer / tactical buyer / category buyer. (2-3 years). Strong knowledge of the key aspects of the RFI / RFQ sourcing process. Supplier development experience. Ability to understand value stream, cost drivers and how to break down cost structures. Results driven, self – starter, problem solver with proven ability to drive projects to a successful conclusion. Team oriented and excellent communications skills are essential. Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office.
