Wound Care Nurse

Parkside Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a skilled and compassionate Wound Care Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a Wound Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing specialized care to patients with acute and chronic wounds. Your expertise in wound management and treatment will play a crucial role in promoting healing and preventing complications. Duties: Assessing and evaluating patients' wounds, including the type, size, and severity Developing and implementing individualized wound care plans based on patients' needs Administering appropriate wound care treatments, such as dressings, debridement, and topical medications Monitoring patients' progress and documenting changes in wound status Collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care Educating patients and their families on proper wound care techniques and prevention strategies Utilizing electronic medical records systems for documentation and communication Following infection control protocols to minimize the risk of wound-related infections Performing specimen collection processing as needed for laboratory testing Qualifications: Valid nursing license in GA Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) Certification in Wound Care (WCC) preferred Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of wound care principles Experience in case management to coordinate ongoing wound care needs Familiarity with dermal fillers for advanced wound healing techniques Strong attention to detail and excellent critical thinking skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize patient needs Compassionate demeanor with a focus on providing patient-centered care As a Wound Care Nurse, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives and contribute to their overall well-being.
