Billing Clerk

We are looking for a Billing Clerk to join a construction-focused organization in Islip, New York. This position supports accurate client invoicing and project-related billing activities, with a strong emphasis on precision and timely follow-through. The ideal candidate is organized, attentive to detail, and comfortable managing billing tasks in a fast-paced business environment.Responsibilities:• Prepare and issue customer invoices for construction-related projects with a high degree of accuracy.• Review project documentation to ensure billing reflects approved charges, contract terms, and supporting details.• Process change orders and incorporate updated costs into client billing records.• Maintain organized billing files, statements, and account documentation within computerized systems.• Monitor outstanding balances and assist with collection-related follow-up when needed.• Reconcile billing information and resolve discrepancies by coordinating with internal teams and customers.• Generate billing statements and provide account updates to support timely payment processing.• Experience performing billing activities in an office or project-based business setting.• Ability to create, review, and manage invoices and customer billing statements accurately.• Familiarity with computerized billing platforms and standard business software.• Understanding of collections support and account follow-up procedures.• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with a high volume of transactional information.• Effective organizational and communication skills for coordinating billing matters with clients and colleagues.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
