Adient is committed to innovation and quality in driving automotive seating solutions globally. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Riverside, MO, for a Controls Engineer. The Controls Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems to support manufacturing operations. Daily tasks include troubleshooting automated equipment, programming and maintaining PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), ensuring system integration, and optimizing control processes. The role also involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency, ensure process reliability, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Proficiency in PLC programming, troubleshooting, and control systems designExperience with automation systems, robotics, and related technologiesStrong background in diagnostics, system integration, and equipment optimizationKnowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems relevant to manufacturing applicationsAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manualsProblem-solving and analytical skills to support continuous improvement projectsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related technical fieldPrevious automotive manufacturing experience is preferred but not requiredEffective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams
