Learn more at https://www.marsunited.com/.OverviewThe Senior Manager, Retail Consultancy is the owner of duties needed to support Customer project execution including leading projects end to end from briefing to media and creative development, timeline management, client and vendor relationships, communication, budget/financial management and activation including managed service. Additionally, the Senior Manager is ready to begin taking on Director level duties such as owning a core retail specific business, leading business strategy, performance and connected commerce. A Senior Manager is highly adept at leading creative development, timeline management, client and vendor relationships & communications. The Senior Manager has demonstrated a high proficiency on all aspects of project execution and is deepening their ability to manage more independently in assigned work. They are able to command a strong respect from both internal and external customers, being seen as a “go to” to ensure excellence in a client relationship along with flawless executions and project work.The Senior Manager owns or supports the Director on the development of strategic retailer media plans for Regional Grocery retailers, and acts as a key liaison to retail vendor partners facilitating needed executional elements. The Senior Manager collects past performance data, understands benchmarks, suggests program optimizations and provides oversight for tactic and program reporting. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance from Mars United Commerce's Cincinnati, Detroit or Chicago office for a hybrid work schedule.Primary ResponsibilitiesWork with the internal cross-functional teams (Strategic Planning & Analytics, Marilyn, Media, Client Leadership and Creative) to develop optimal and actionable strategies, concepts and tacticsOversees and directs the work of the Manager and/or Sr. Account Executive and/or Account Executive assigned to the business, ensuring they are clear on assigned duties and timelinesManage the implementation of key client projectsBuild strong working relationships with regional grocery client contactsManage execution of approved programs through team including ensuring all Ad Ops/tagging requirements and reporting are being executed by ad ops specialistWork with external client vendors/agencies to execute projects as assignedActivate and manage partnership relationships with other manufacturers or propertiesIdentify retailer direct and manufacturer platformsDevelop and manage project timelines and budgetsProactively manage communication of project status and budget to client teamsWork hand-in-hand with internal teams on planning and implementation of retail marketing extensions of brand and category programs (national retainer clients)Manage client approval processMeasure post-promotion results using agency and client-provided dataHas a deep understanding of the end-to-end executional process and is able to troubleshoot as issues or conflicts ariseHas a strong presence with internal teams and stakeholders, sought out as a resource when challenges may ariseCommands the respect of their customer counterparts, being valued as a strong executional partnerSome travel required Skill Sets RequiredBachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, business, or related field5-7 years’ experience in marketing or media at retailProven Project Management experienceExperience working with retail media networks and media vendorsStrategic thinking in the development of Shopper Marketing programs and management of day-to-day businessSound decision making skills based in industry knowledgePassion about business – always thinking of ways to improve/grow assigned client/businessStrong listening skills and attention to detailExcellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skillsDesire to dig in and do what’s needed to get the job done rightAdditional InformationThe Power of One starts with our people! This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
