The successful candidate will be the chief academic and executive officer of the College, responsible for providing strategic leadership, vision, and management to support the institution's teaching, research, and service mission. This role demands a visionary, goal-oriented, and collaborative academic leader with a proven track record in a large, complex academic organization. The Dean will be expected to uphold and advance the College's excellence in alignment with the institution's research ratings, national reputation, and institutional priorities. Applicants for the Dean position at the College of Arts and Sciences should have a strong academic background and a deep understanding of the diverse disciplines within the College. The role requires a leader who can foster a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and inclusivity. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant field, a distinguished record of scholarly achievement, and a commitment to the values of the institution. Experience in a senior academic administrative role, such as department chair, associate dean, or similar, is highly desirable.
