School Behavior Specialist - Fremont, CA

Job Description Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Support students in Union City, CA, as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) on a full-time, end-of-school-year contract position with a focus on behavioral support within general education classrooms. This role involves providing one-on-one assistance to students with varying behavioral needs, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.Key Responsibilities:Deliver one-on-one behavioral support to students in general education settings.Build strong relationships and maintain positive rapport with students demonstrating escape-maintained behaviors, including managing potential escalation to physical behaviors.Assist students with mild behavioral support needs, supporting classroom routines, task completion, and participation in activities.Collaborate with educators and behavioral specialists to implement individualized behavior plans.Comply with district onboarding procedures, including fingerprinting and required credentials.Qualifications:Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential is required.Experience working with students exhibiting challenging behaviors in school settings.Ability to build rapport and maintain a calm, patient approach with students.Familiarity with behavior intervention techniques and positive behavior supports.Willingness to complete district-specific onboarding and fingerprinting processes.Previous BCBA supervision preferred.Candidates already credentialed and ready for assignment are strongly preferred.Location:Union City, CA (within New Haven Unified School District).Employment Details:Full-time, End-of-School-Year contract (approximately 30-32 hours per week).Start date aligned with district calendar; note district spring break holiday (April 6-10).This position offers a meaningful opportunity to positively impact students educational experiences by providing specialized behavioral support.
