As an Administrative Assistant/Front Desk Coordinator, you'll be the first point of contact for our clinic, playing a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and exceptional patient experiences.
Job Description:
As an Administrative Assistant/Front Desk Coordinator, you'll be responsible for managing the front desk activities of our clinic. Your primary duties will include greeting patients, scheduling appointments, managing phone calls and incoming faxes, and assisting with administrative tasks. You'll work closely with our medical staff to coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations.
Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
Schedule patient appointments and maintain accurate appointment records
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate staff members
Check-in patients, verify insurance information, and collect payments as needed
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
Keep patient charts and records meticulously updated
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and scanning documents
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and address patient needs promptly
Adhere to clinic policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and standards
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
Attitude and energy that emphasizes customer service
Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite/G-Suite
Experience with electronic medical records systems a plus
Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
