Temp Hose AssemblerThe hose assembler is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting portable pump systems using detailed blueprints and technical schematics. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools in both indoor and outdoor environments.ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to accurately assemble portable pump systems and components.Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to complete mechanical assemblies.Assemble pumps, housings, fittings, and related components according to specifications and quality standards.Perform functional testing of pumps in designated outdoor testing areas.Troubleshoot and make adjustments or minor repairs as needed to ensure proper operation.Essential Skills1-5 years of manufacturing and assembly experience.Ability to read and interpret drawings.Mechanical aptitude.Proficient in using hand and power tools, presses, assembly and test fixtures, measuring and testing instruments.Knowledge in pneumatics.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to perform basic assembly, fitting, and wiring as necessary.Capability to repair and troubleshoot when required.Sound mechanical judgment to independently install components with limited instruction.Experience in using a variety of hand, air, hydraulic, and testing tooling and equipment.Proficient in installing components required to inspect products, involving operations such as connecting, aligning, pressing, fitting, setting, and adjusting.Ability to make repairs and adjustments as required to pass inspection.Experience in testing and installing water systems.Why Work Here?Enjoy working in a climate-controlled facility that manufactures pumps for fire engines, supporting first responders and firefighters. The position involves occasional outdoor work and exposure to wet conditions. Work hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with current hours extending to 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including some Saturdays for overtime.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ocala, FL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
