Direct Care Staff ( Behavior Focus Facility)

Job description Job Duties: Direct Care and Support: Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Professional Crisis Management ( Behavior Focus Facility) Administer medications according to prescribed dosages and schedules. Monitor and document vital signs like blood pressure and heart rate. Ensure the safety and well-being of residents by adhering to proper protocols and procedures. Case Management: Assist with case management by coordinating appointments and communicating with healthcare professionals. Advocacy and Promotion: Advocate for resident rights and promote their needs and preferences. Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents. Requirements: Experience and Knowledge: Preferred experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a healthcare setting. Knowledge of dementia care, hospice care, and working with people with developmental disabilities is advantageous. Skills: Ability to administer medication accurately and safely. Strong conflict management skills to handle challenging situations and behaviors effectively. Familiarity with resident rights and the ability to advocate for them. Basic knowledge of case management principles and practices. Certifications: First aid certification is required; CPR certification is required; PCM certification is required; APD Certs Background Check and Local Law is required. Communication and Attention to Detail: Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals. Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
