Applicants must hold at least an active MSHA Electrical License and have strong experience in mining, commercial, and industrial electrical work. Applicants must also be willing to travel to mine site located in the Fruitland, NM area.Key Responsibilities:Perform commercial and industrial electrical installations and maintenanceTroubleshoot electrical circuits and systems to include heavy mining electrical systems, draglines, coal preparation plant and other industrial electrical systems.Apply knowledge of the latest National Electrical Code (NEC)Install and maintain electrical circuits and systems in accordance with codePull wire and conductors through various sizes of conduitRead and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and electrical drawingsInstall and bend conduit and raceways per NEC requirementsPerform basic electrical calculations related to the NECTroubleshoot and repair electric motors and drives (including VFDs)Work with PLCs, instrumentation, and relay controlsOperate basic electrical tools (cordless drills, impacts, conduit benders, crimpers, etc.)Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customersLead and mentor apprentices and helpers as neededConduct Job Safety Analysis prior to workPerform daily vehicle and worksite safety inspectionsMaintain a hazard-free work environmentKeep work areas and vehicles clean and organizedReport and record accurate hours workedAdhere to all company, mining, and worksite policies, as well as local, state, tribal, and federal regulationsPrioritize safety at all timesComplete a 90-day probationary periodBe willing to potentially participate in a 24/7 on-call rotationQualifications:Minimum 4 years of electrical work experienceMust possess an Electrical MSHA Electrical License and Must have a valid driver's licenseMining experience is requiredEligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorshipHigh School Diploma or GED strongly preferredMust pass drug and alcohol testing with no prior positive tests or refusals. Also, must pass background checkAble to safely lift and carry 40+ lbs of tools and equipmentStrong teamwork, professionalism, and communication skillsProven safety record and strong work ethicJob Type: Full-timeTravel: Required — To the MinesiteCompany Vehicle: A truck is provided for travelRequired License/Certification:Journeyman Electrician's License
