HIGH PRIORITY HIRING – Mainframe DB2 Replication EngineerLocation: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote)Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-HireAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Mainframe DB2 Replication Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise-grade data replication solutions across IBM z/OS and distributed environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in DB2 for z/OS, IBM InfoSphere Data Replication (IIDR/CDC), and Q Replication, ensuring high availability, real-time data synchronization, and data consistency for mission-critical applications.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, configure, and maintain DB2 replication solutions across mainframe and distributed platforms.Implement and support real-time and near-real-time data replication.Configure and manage Capture, Apply, and Control Server processes.Troubleshoot replication failures, data inconsistencies, queue backlogs, and performance issues.Optimize replication latency, data capture efficiency, and overall system performance.Collaborate with DBAs, application teams, and data engineering teams to support enterprise data integration.Provide L2/L3 production support and perform root cause analysis for critical issues.Required SkillsDB2 for z/OSIBM InfoSphere Data Replication (IIDR/CDC)Q Replication (Preferred)Change Data Capture (CDC) ConceptsZDIHMIPS Reduction & Optimization ProjectsUNIX Administration & UNIX Shell ScriptingRACFJCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSFMainframe Batch & Online EnvironmentsPreferred SkillsMQ / Messaging SystemsETL & Data WarehousingREXX, Python, and Automation ScriptingMonitoring & Performance Tuning ToolsCloud / Hybrid Data ArchitectureLarge-Scale Data Migration & Modernization ProjectsReal-Time Data Streaming ArchitectureIf you have the required experience and are looking for your next opportunity, I'd love to connect!
