Survey Technician
Job Title: Survey TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Survey Technician will be responsible for monitoring survey equipment near construction sites. This role involves setting up total stations near buildings, roadways, and bridges, and requires occasional field visits.ResponsibilitiesMonitor and maintain survey equipment near construction sites.Set up total stations near buildings, roadways, and bridges.Conduct occasional field visits to ensure equipment accuracy.Collect and analyze data using survey instrumentation.Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate data collection and reporting.Essential Skills2 years of relevant experience with survey instrumentation and data collection.Experience with Automated Total Station.Proficiency in GeoMos software.High School Diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or higher in Civil Engineering Technology, Land Surveying, or a related field is preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in environmental monitoring.Proficiency in data analysis and AutoCAD.Ability to work on high-impact public and private projects.Work EnvironmentThe survey team consists of 32 employees, primarily working in NYC on large infrastructure surveys for agencies such as the DDC, SCA, Port Authority, airports, and roadway projects. Work hours are from 7 am to 4 pm. Training will initially be provided in the office, with the possibility of transitioning to a hybrid role.
