Lead Integration Developer – Developer Level 3
Position OverviewWe are seeking two experienced Lead Integration Developers to support the New York State Integrated Eligibility System (IES), a large-scale modernization initiative supporting critical Health and Human Services programs.The primary focus of this role is analyzing existing mainframe interfaces and integrations and designing and developing modern .NET/C# integration solutions.The environment includes batch processes, file transfers, APIs, asynchronous processing, and message queues supporting programs such as Medicaid, SNAP, Public Assistance, and Child Support.The Lead Integration Developer will collaborate with technical leads, developers, testers, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable integration solutions.Assignment DetailsOpenings: 2Start Date: October 8, 2026End Date: May 3, 2029Duration: Approximately 31 monthsSchedule: Full-time, 40 hours per weekLocation: 40 N Pearl St, Albany, NYWork Arrangement: HybridInterview: Video Conference via Skype/WebEx Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze existing mainframe interfaces and integrations.Evaluate batch processes, file transfers, message queues, and asynchronous processes.Design and develop legacy integrations into modern .NET/C# solutions.Design, develop, test, and deploy RESTful and SOAP APIs.Build reusable and consumable APIs for internal and external integrations.Integrate systems and applications through APIs, managed file transfers, and queuing platforms.Collaborate with developers, testers, Business Analysts, product teams, and technical leads.Define and validate integration requirements.Troubleshoot complex integration issues.Optimize application and integration performance.Maintain security, reliability, and integrity of data exchanged between systems.Create and maintain clear technical and integration documentation.Support Agile/Scrum development and delivery activities.Perform other duties as assigned.Mandatory Qualifications:::Candidates must clearly demonstrate all mandatory qualifications.Senior Developer / Leadership ExperienceMore than seven years of experience working on complex projects, including at least two years in a leadership role as a Developer.Integration Application DevelopmentMore than seven years of experience designing and developing integration applications, including:APIsBatch processingAsynchronous processingComplex business logicHigh-profile or enterprise-scale projectsMainframe-to-.NET Integration ExperienceMore than seven years of experience developing, troubleshooting, and optimizing integrations, including APIs, asynchronous processes, and batch processes.Candidates must have strong working knowledge of mainframe integration patterns, including:Batch integrationsFile-based interfacesMessage queue-based integrationsCandidates must also demonstrate experience designing and developing legacy/mainframe integrations into .NET-based solutions.
