Environmental Health Safety Specialist (Florida or Texas)
Location: Texas or Florida (90% Travel)Job Description SummaryThe NAM Energy Storage P&S EHS Technician supports Environmental Health & Safety activities for P&S sites across the Florida region, from service orders through commissioning projects. The role involves frequent travel to project and service sites to conduct audits, assessments, and EHS training for field technicians.Business OverviewThe PCS Power Conversion and Energy Storage divisions provide electrification and stationary energy storage solutions for energy, maritime, and industrial customers through engineering, manufacturing, deployment, and service operations.Essential ResponsibilitiesSupport daily EHS activities for projects and services.Monitor compliance with EHS plans, policies, and procedures.Conduct site audits and assessments.Provide direct EHS support to field employees at customer sites.Resolve EHS issues using technical and analytical expertise.Collaborate with the PCS NAM EHS team.Obtain customer site access clearances.Build relationships with operational teams.Coordinate and document incident investigations and compliance reporting. RequirementsBachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (with Major in Health & Safety as a desired asset) or a high school diploma with relevant experience & accredited EHS Safety Training Courses.Minimum 2-3 years of experience supporting EHS initiatives.Experience in field based EHS protocolsAbility and willingness travel at least 90% DesiredExcellent oral and written communication skills.Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.Uses technical experience and analytical thinking.Experience of EHS program development, implementation, and leadership experience with a focus on business segments such as electric power, refining, Off shore or similar industrial sector.High energy, motivation and commitment to take personal ownership of issues and drive them to exceptional outcomes.
