Sr. Lead Test Engineer
Irvine, CAApril 5th, 2026
About Us:
Menlo Micro has reinvented one of the most fundamental building blocks of electronic systems - the electronic switch. Menlo Micro's technology creates a new switch category that eliminates compromises and tradeoffs by combining the benefits of electromechanical and solid-state switches into the best of both worlds with its "Ideal Switch."
Are you interested in playing a critical, impactful role and work with top electronic systems talent at an exciting startup backed by industry leaders? Do you want to help create truly disruptive and unique products that will change markets? If you answered yes to both, this may be your opportunity to have a significant impact in a cutting-edge startup with industry-leading technology that will drive electronic systems innovation across a diverse range of industries.
Role Summary and Purpose:
The Sr. Test Engineering role will be responsible for defining, developing, and deploying test strategies for advanced MEMS switch products. This role requires strong technical expertise in MEMS or semiconductor test methodologies, ability to provide leadership and guidance to test engineering team and strategic vision to scale test infrastructure to meet quality, yield, and cost targets.
As a lead test engineer of the New Product Introduction (NPI) Test Team, you will play a critical role in developing cutting-edge, ATE test solutions for both wafer and package-level tests. Additionally, you will develop reliability test systems to support product qualification. You will be directly responsible for all aspects of the production test development of various MEMS related products and ensure timely development and release-to-production of Menlo Micro test solutions. You will work together with a team of test, design, packaging, product, device and application engineers in both the power and RF product lines.
You will directly impact critical roadmaps, create new product test solutions and close Phase 4 in our phase gate process to release new products to production. Projects will encompass portions of design, characterization, packaging test, RF, electrical, mechanical, and test considerations, along with data analysis, reliability testing, and root cause problem solving needed to validate the designs created in NPI and launch them into production.
Essential Responsibilities:
This is a Sr. Test Engineer role, that requires extensive cradle to grave test development hands-on experience.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop robust test solutions for MEMS devices
Support management and NTI team in long-term test strategies aligned with product roadmap, manufacturing scalability, and cost targets
Drive innovation in test methodologies, automation and infrastructure to improve efficiency
Provide guidance and review other test engineers in the design, development, and implementation of production test programs for wafer probe, final test and reliability-level test
Insure DFT (Design for Test) strategies are incorporated during product design phase
Work with product engineers to complete validation and track new product test results and use that data to analyze readiness for qualifications.
Work cross functionally to solve issues that arise in the design through qualification phase of the products
Partner with design, NTI and quality teams to optimize test coverage, yield, characterization, capability analysis and time-to-market
Collaborate with operations, foundries and OSATs to transfer and sustain test programs in high-volume manufacturing
Drive continuous improvement in test cost, throughput and reliability
Communicate effectively with colleagues, leveraging your problem solving, data analysis, and critical thinking skills.
