You will focus on first article inspections, visual and mechanical inspection, CMM report verification, and nonconformance management for aerospace and defense components. Your work ensures that new parts and processes are stable, capable, and ready for production.What You’ll DoPerform first article inspections (FAI) and provide detailed feedback on new partsConduct visual inspection of bare and coated parts to verify finish and cosmetic requirementsCarry out mechanical inspection of parts using precision measurement toolsAnalyze and verify CMM reports for accuracy and conformanceWrite, disposition, and verify nonconformance reports (NCRs)Triage and escalate out-of-tolerance conditions in productionGenerate customer shipment documentation to ensure compliance with requirementsPartner with programmers, engineers, and technicians to drive stable, in-tolerance productionWhat We're Looking For1+ years of experience in mechanical or quality inspectionDemonstrated ability to perform inspections with a high degree of accuracy and efficiencyExperience using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)Familiarity with CMM inspection resultsHigh level of experience with reading and interpreting GD&TStrong attention to detail and ability to communicate findings clearlyWhat Will Set You ApartHands-on experience writing and dispositioning NCRsExperience supporting aerospace or defense manufacturingKnowledge of AS9100 or related quality management systemsFamiliarity with PC-DMIS (equivalent to level 1) or other CMM programming environmentsExperience working with optical inspection systems and high precision gaugesCompensationFor this role, the target salary range is $28 - $39/HR (actual range may vary based on experience).This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
