Always close to the customer with a comprehensive service portfolio and strong quality awareness: whether on water, on land and in the air in the business segment "Air + Ocean" or in the logistics network of the business segment "Solutions".How to become an asset for our team:As Accountant General Ledger (m/f/d) you hold the strings:General Ledger & Financial RecordsPrepare and post journal entriesProcess general cost invoicesMaintain and reconcile general ledger accountsEnsure proper documentation of all accounting proceduresFinancial Reporting & AnalysisPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (US GAAP, Tax GAAP, IFRS)Reconcile accounts and analyze balance sheet variancesDeliver financial reports and insights to management and controlling teamsMonth-End & Year-End CloseExecute closing activities on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basisCalculate and post accruals and provisions, including provision statementsCalculate CIT and deferred taxes quarterly and manage prepaymentsSupport tax return preparation in collaboration with external tax advisorsCompliance & Quality AssuranceMonitor AR, AP, and fixed asset accountingOversee dunning processes and support SOX complianceParticipate in quality control of accounting processesAudit & CollaborationSupport internal and external auditsCollaborate with cross-functional teams in the U.S. and GermanyWhat makes you special for us:Whether you have previous professional knowledge or are a career changer - you are very welcome here! Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field3–5 years of experience in general ledger accounting, ideally in a multinational or German-based companyExperience in the logistics industry is a plusTechnical SkillsStrong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulationsProficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, CargoWise) is a plusSoft SkillsAnalytical mindset with attention to detailStrong problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines under pressureTeam player with excellent communication skillsFlexibility during month-end close periodsLanguageFluent in English (written and spoken); German is a plusWhat you benefit from:Our Logwin Spirit comes first, because logistics is made by people.
