Our client, a respected and growing engineering firm in the Kansas City Metro area, is seeking a Junior Civil Engineer (EIT) to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early‑career engineer to gain hands‑on experience, receive mentorship from licensed professionals, and work on a variety of transportation and site development projects.
Responsibilities
Assist with the planning, design, and preparation of construction documents for civil engineering projects
Support roadway, highway, transportation, and site development projects
Prepare engineering calculations, reports, specifications, and cost estimates
Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop project plans
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, surveyors, and clients
Assist with agency coordination and regulatory requirements
Participate in site visits, field inspections, and construction observation
Support projects from initial design through construction
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required
0–5 years of civil engineering experience
Experience or interest in transportation, roadway, municipal, or site development projects
AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Desire to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
