Administrative Assistant-Quality Department - Holland, MichiganShort-term (THREE-MONTH) Contract positionDay Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4'ish pmPay Rate: $20.00 - $22.00 per hourPurpose of the Administrative Assistant - Quality Department position :The Quality Administrative Assistant is responsible for the Quality Lab filing systems, assisting in special projects and general office duties for the department by performing the following duties:Job/Task Functions of the Administrative Assistant - Quality Department :The following job/task functions have been identified as the core functions of this position. However, the supervisor or manager may assign additional duties associated with this position:Maintains and improves current system of record retention and filingCreates customer related documents and letters, as well as internal production support and QC documentationRecords, tracks, and reports on critical quality indicatorsAssists in the development of computer capability in the QC labCopies data and compiles records and reportsTabulates and post data in record booksOperates computer terminal to input and retrieve dataPerforms all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, ear plugs, etc.)Punctual and regular attendance is requiredAble and willing to work any shift assignedMaintains a high-level of confidentiality in all dutiesKeeps work area clean and orderlyParticipates in continuous improvement activitiesAssumes other duties as directed by supervisorJob Qualifications of the Administrative Assistant - Quality Department :Education and/or Experience :High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experienceLanguage Skills :Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, and other employees of the organization.Mathematical Skills :Basic Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiple, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Reasoning Ability :Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed buy uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.Business Judgment :Ability to adhere to all company policies and procedures in a professional and consistent manner.
