Apprentices can build a wonderful career in financial services while launching their college experience! This program helps build talent for our banking branches in northern Chicagoland. It's a great way to infuse the branch network with fresh talent and new ideas while helping individuals establish a career path, earn money, and get their associate degree covered 100%!!We're seeking recent high school graduates (including upcoming 2026 grads) and career changers who have not yet started-or have only completed minimal-college coursework.Program Highlights2-year paid apprenticeship (6 semesters, including summers)Attend classes to complete your Associate of Applied Sciences in Business Administration Degree at College of Lake County (CLC)Start working July 2026; classes begin August 2026Work 40 hours per week split between branch experience and college classesGain experience in customer service, teller operations, account opening, and salesWork at our branches in Round Lake Beach, Gurnee, Kildeer, or MundeleinEarn hourly pay + eligible for benefits, incentives, and an annual bonus opportunityTuition, books, and fees covered in full by CCUReceive mentorship, development opportunities, and potential promotion to Sr. Branch ApprenticeMust maintain passing grades 'C' or higher and meet job performance expectationsFuture career path opportunities include Assistant Branch Manager, Branch Manager, Lending, Sales, and moreBranch Apprentice Role OverviewThis hybrid role combines responsibilities of a Concierge, Teller, and Personal Banker. You will:Greet and assist members in person and through drive-up lanesSupport self-service ITM transactionsPerform teller tasks, resolve member service issues, perform account maintenanceOpen consumer accounts accurately and efficientlyIdentify and refer members to lending, mortgage, and wealth servicesRecommend process improvementsFollow all compliance, audit, and operational standardsRequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalentAge 18+ by July 1, 20261+ year of experience in retail, customer service, guest relations, sales, and cash handlingAbility to commit to a 40hour Monday-Friday scheduleAcceptance into CLC's AAS programStrong communication, multitasking, and teamwork skillsIntermediate computer skills (MS office, data entry, intranet/internet, email)Desire to grow a career in banking/financial servicesCompensation & BenefitsStarting wage is $19.00/hour.
