The counselor will assess client needs, create personalized treatment plans, and provide counseling services to support recovery and behavioral wellness. In this role, you will maintain client records and ensure regulatory compliance. Additionally, the counselor will facilitate group and individual sessions, educate clients on treatment approaches, and refer client to other support services as needed such as alcohol/drug prevention education course, recovery support services, medical evaluation and treatment, employment services, or other social services.QualificationsProficiency in conducting client assessments, creating treatment plans, and providing counseling servicesExperience with group and individual therapy, case management, and client educationStrong documentation, record-keeping, and compliance skills related to behavioral health practicesExcellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration abilitiesFamiliarity with substance use treatment, behavioral health principles, and public health initiativesCurrent Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) certification in TexasBilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred
