Job ProfileInvestment Office for a high-net-worth family is seeking a Family Office Accountant to assist with maintaining accounting records and special projects. A strong sense of urgency and comfort operating at a fast pace are essential.Job StandardsStandards an above-average performer will meet or exceed:• High attention to detail; work quickly and accurately• Deliver high-touch support to family members and senior decision makers• Prioritize and manage time well• Advanced Excel experience with demonstrated curiosity for AI technologies and their application in improving workflows and operational efficiency• Provide proactive status updates; flag risks early• Follow checklists with good judgment and flexibility• Interpret account statements and legal documents clearly and accurately• Own self-review, reconcile discrepancies, and prevent repeat errors• Display clear written communication skills• Maintain strong controls and audit readiness (approvals, documentation, and compliance mindset)Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial Reporting• Maintain accounting records for assigned clients• Communicate with third-party investment managers to obtain adequate transaction detail and support• Prepare and post journal entries with supporting workpapers and in accordance with internal policies• Assist in monthly and quarterly financial statement reviews• Perform reconciliations, variance analysis, and ensure accuracy of financial data• Partner with broader accounting team to standardize processes, journal entries, and workpapers• Assist with third party audit and internal audit activities, and other tasks as assignedTax, Treasury & Debt Management• Compile financial data to support tax filings and coordinate with external advisors• Maintain debt schedules, including tracking principal, interest, and payment timelines• Monitor and process debt payments and support treasury activities (cash management, liquidity tracking)• Assist with bank reporting, gathering signatures, and other tasks as assignedQualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field• 4-plus years related experience (accounting, investments, finance)• Proven success with and a passion for providing exceptional customer service• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills• Experience with Quickbooks Online a plus• An understanding of trusts and estate planning a plus• MUST have high regard for family and employee confidentiality
