The Role We are looking for a C++ specialist to lead the evolution of our cross-platform sync engine. This is a high-impact build role, not a maintenance position. You’ll optimize the logic connecting our cloud, mobile, and desktop ecosystems to ensure we remain the fastest, most reliable solution in the market. You will work at the intersection of high-performance backend logic and fluid user interfaces, ensuring a seamless experience across every device. As part of a cohesive, inventive team, you’ll tackle 'unsolvable' problems alongside experienced photographers, AI specialists, and QA engineers. We value autonomy and deep ownership. Sample Projects Might Include Modernize and improve performance for processing, uploading, and downloading photos and videos across multiple devices and platforms. Continue with the modernization of our mobile application to support editing extensions and direct access to user's camera rolls. Add new special effects filters that leverage cloud AI inference and assets. What You Will Do Develop and maintain high-performance desktop and mobile applications using C++ and the Qt framework. Utilize QML to create fluid, responsive, and platform-agnostic user interfaces. Lead the refinement of our cloud syncing services (AWS/Azure), focusing on performance, data integrity, security, and competitive speed. Collaborate on the integration of web endpoints and cloud infrastructure. Conduct cross-platform integration testing to ensure feature parity and stability across mobile and Desktop environments. Play a key role in developing features for our subscription-tier products, directly impacting our 2026 growth targets. Own multiple big releases throughout the year which will showcase clear and measurable impact. Participate in daily stand-up and sprint planning meetings, plus work independently. What You Should Have Deep proficiency in C++ with a focus on building customer facing desktop products. Proficient with Python 3 and have experience engineering and managing cloud-integrated file systems and synchronization logic within AWS or Azure, with a focus on scalable asset management and storage optimization. Familiarity with serverless functions, MongoDB, and asynchronous programing. Strong object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, debugging, self-testing and problem-solving skills. Experience building applications with the Qt framework; comfortable with QML for UI development, plus, experience deploying and debugging Qt-based applications for mobile. Familiar with Windows and macOS development. Self-motivation, an organized approach to work and the ability to excel within a remote work setting. Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar field.
