Senior Platform / Site Reliability Engineer – AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform LOCATION: Salt Lake City, UT (Hybrid) PAY: Target salary for this role is $150,000–$175,000 annually, plus equity, depending on experience. ENGAGEMENT TYPE: Direct Hire DURATION: Permanent WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING This is a Senior-level Platform / Site Reliability Engineering opportunity with an innovative healthcare technology company building AI-powered products that improve patient care. As a Senior Platform / Site Reliability Engineer, you'll own the cloud infrastructure that powers a modern healthcare platform. You'll design secure, scalable AWS environments, automate infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code, build reliable deployment pipelines, and implement observability and compliance practices that enable engineering teams to ship with confidence. Responsibilities include: Design, build, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code Develop and maintain scalable environments utilizing Terraform, ECS, and EKS/Kubernetes Implement cloud security best practices, network policies, IAM, encryption, and secrets management Build infrastructure that supports security and compliance requirements, including SOC 2 and HIPAA Develop observability solutions using tools such as Grafana, Datadog, and Sentry Own CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions to enable secure, reliable software delivery Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous platform improvements Leverage AI tools to improve engineering productivity while maintaining sound technical judgment WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR Proven production experience managing AWS infrastructure at scale Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code Experience deploying and supporting ECS and EKS/Kubernetes Strong understanding of AWS networking, IAM, and cloud security best practices Experience supporting regulated environments, including SOC 2; HIPAA experience is preferred Experience implementing observability with tools such as Grafana, Datadog, or Sentry Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions Strong understanding of Site Reliability Engineering principles, including automation, SLOs, and operational excellence Excellent verbal and written communication skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience Authorization to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment.
