About the Opportunity Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing and processing industry, is seeking a Process Engineer to join their team. As a Process Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, collaborative spirit, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title Process Engineer What's the Job? Oversee daily operations at the Atchison facility to ensure system performance, availability, and reliability targets are consistently met. Provide troubleshooting and technical support to address operational issues promptly and effectively. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to promote consistent and efficient plant operations. Support the implementation of expense and capital projects, providing necessary technical documentation and oversight. Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing tools such as Zero-Based Analysis (ZBA), GAP analysis, and time studies. What's Needed? Bachelor’s of Science in Chemical Engineering or related field (required). 5+ years of ethanol plant experience with deep knowledge of milling, cooking, fermentation, distillation, and dryhouse operation process technologies. 2+ years of project management experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with AutoCAD and SAP preferred. Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
