Job DetailsDescriptionSummary of Position: The Logistic Coordinator is responsible for organizing, coordinating, and tracking the flow of materials, supplies, and products within the company or on a project site. This position ensures that materials are received, stored, and distributed efficiently and that inventory levels are maintained to meet production or operational needs. This position may have a team of Inventory Specialists that report to them.Duties And ResponsibilitiesManage the ordering, receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and suppliesMonitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or excesses; maintain accurate inventory recordsTrack inbound and outbound shipments, verifying packaging and accompanying documentsLaise with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of materialsPrepare and process purchase ordersConduct and coordinate regular cycle counts and physical inventory auditsAddress and resolve issues related to damaged, missing, or incorrect shipmentsMaintain the cleanliness and organization of warehouses or storage areasMaintain knowledge of the material and tools used for projectCoordinate and direct the work of any Inventory Specialists onsiteRecommend and create any process improvements for streamlining the inventory processesSafety training as required by positionPaperwork filing and maintenance as neededOther duties as assignedEssential Education And QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentValid Driver’s LicenseMust be able to lift up to 75 lbsMust be able to work in all weather conditionsUnderstanding of materials used in construction or specific projectProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsTravel requiredPreferred SkillsConstruction industry experiencePrior inventory or material management experiencePhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
