Staff Accountant

Stan’s Performance Products has an immediate opening available for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant who aligns with our core values (Stan’s core values) of personal accountability above all else; internal or external, the customer's needs come first; succeeding together is more fun and is to be celebrated, and there are no shortcuts worth compromising our standards.The Staff Accountant position is responsible for executing the day-to-day Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and payroll processes while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial data. This position serves as a critical gatekeeper for financial data entry and transaction processing, and supports month-end closing activities, maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.ResponsibilitiesOwn and execute daily Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.Receive, review, and enter vendor bills; resolve discrepancies as needed.Drive the ‘Order to Cash’ process, reviewing and approving invoices in a timely manner.Process weekly payroll through Paylocity ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Prepare reconciliations, schedules, and journal entries to support the month-end close process.Support the development of internal controls and accounting processes to improve efficiency.Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives.QualificationsAssociate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.One (1) to three (3) years of accounting or related experience preferred.Entry-level candidates with relevant education may be considered.Experience with NetSuite, Paylocity, and/or Avalara preferred.Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Job Type:Full Time (40 hours) Pay Type:Hourly, Non-exemptPay Rate:$28.85 HourlyBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insuranceHSA eligible medical planShort-term disability insuranceLong-term disability insuranceLife insurance and AD&D coverage New York State Paid Family Leave401(k) employer safe harbor contributions401(k) employer profit sharing contributions401(k) plan offers a Roth optionPaid vacation leavePaid sick leavePaid prenatal leavePaid bereavement leavePaid jury duty leaveOutdoor industry employee discount programsLocation:Big Flats, NY Required to Relocate:YesRemote Work Allowed:NoTo Apply:Email your resume and cover letter to jobs@stans.com with “Staff Accountant” as the subject line.Our Commitment to You:Your success is our success.
