Forward Deployed Engineer
Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) | AI SecurityI'm working with a high-growth AI security startup looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to help enterprise customers securely deploy and scale AI applications and agents. This is a highly technical, hands-on role, working directly with customer engineering teams to build integrations, solve complex technical challenges and bring AI security solutions into production.
The Opportunity:
Build and deploy integrations across AI applications, gateways, coding agents and agent platforms.
Work directly with enterprise customers to translate business requirements into production-ready solutions.
Deploy and validate security controls across customer environments.
Troubleshoot complex issues across APIs, Linux, containers, cloud infrastructure, identity and networking.
Test security controls against real-world attack scenarios, measuring detection, reliability and performance.
Develop automation, reusable integrations and tools to make future deployments more efficient.
Work closely with engineering and technical leadership to solve customer challenges.
What We're Looking For:
Strong hands-on engineering background, ideally within cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure or enterprise software.
Strong Python and Shell scripting skills.
Experience with APIs, Linux, containers and major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP).Experience building, deploying and troubleshooting software in complex enterprise environments.
Exposure to LLM applications, AI agents and associated security risks.
Comfortable working directly with enterprise customers and technical stakeholders.
Someone who enjoys building, debugging and solving problems rather than purely advising.
Nice to Have:
Experience with AI gateways such as Kong or LiteLLM.Exposure to Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, Azure AI Foundry or Google Vertex AI.Knowledge of prompt injection, AI security testing, detection engineering or security telemetry.
Experience building reusable integrations, automation or open-source tooling.
