Principal Marine Structural Engineer
Job Description: Provide subject matter expertise (SME) for structural design and engineering of marine infrastructure projects
Conduct structural analysis, modeling, and design of marine and waterfront structures
Support project teams with technical input during all project phases
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative and sustainable solutions
Assist in preparing technical proposals, cost estimates, and project schedules
Lead and review structural calculations, technical drawings, and specifications
Mentor and train junior engineers
Engage with clients and stakeholders to present design concepts and project updates
Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites
Requirements: At least 10 years (15+ years preferred) of direct engineering experience in marine structural engineering
Proficiency in structural analysis and design software, such as SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, or LARSA
Strong understanding of materials used in marine environments, including steel, concrete, timber, and composites
Experience in wave, current, and load modeling as applied to marine structures
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Business development acumen, with experience supporting proposal writing, client presentations, and project bids
Regular field work and overnight travel
Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers
Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel
