CT Tech Location: Melrose, MA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,034 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist Specialty: Computed Tomography Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10H Day, Evening Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 2 years License: Licensed in Massachusetts Certifications: ARRT(CT), IV certification Must-Have: GE experience required. Must be able to work independently. Description: CT Technologist needed for both inpatient and outpatient settings. Occasionally perform head CTs for falls. More complex cases will go to the main facility. IV certification or competency is required. Occasional CTA, but no coronal CTA if calcium scoring is possible on GE equipment. The facility has a brand new dual-energy GE scanner. Follows hospital protocols for exam routines and produces quality studies efficiently. Competent to operate all equipment in the department or requests training in specific areas. Properly warms up the CT scanner and runs quality assurance. Completes CT procedures and tasks in an effective manner. Provides appropriate feedback to patients and maintains a clean room. Able to adjust and manipulate images to required specifications. Knowledge of scanners, contrast injection, and PACS systems. Selects proper scanning levels based on the field of scan and organ selected. Ensures all scans are properly identified with appropriate information. Completes administrative aspects of procedures, including tech edits and room preparation. Notifies the coordinator of any equipment malfunctions. Reports findings to physicians and other relevant units. Can access required patient information if necessary. Restores prior exams for radiology review when needed. Maintains and stocks work areas, requesting supplies as necessary. Performs clerical duties to maintain flow and quality expectations.
