RN-Resident Care IP/WC Educator

Rome Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN to lead our Infection Prevention program, provide staff education, and support wound care management. This role is ideal for a proactive nurse who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to improving resident care.Key ResponsibilitiesLead infection prevention initiatives, including surveillance, reporting, and education, following CDC and NYSDOH protocols.Serve as the facility's Antibiotic Stewardship Champion.Design, coordinate, and deliver staff education and continuing education programs.Support wound care management and participate in weekly wound rounds.Collaborate with leadership to improve quality of care and ensure compliance with regulations.Provide guidance to staff, mentor new employees, and support competency assessments.QualificationsCurrent RN license in New York State.Completion of CDC Nursing Home Infection Prevention training.Minimum 1 year of nursing home experience, including 6 months charge experience.BSN preferred.Strong knowledge of infection prevention, nursing standards of care, and long-term care regulations.Excellent organizational, communication, and teaching skills.Why Rome HealthOpportunity to make a direct impact on resident care and staff development.Collaborative, supportive team environment.Ongoing professional growth and continuing education.
