Eligibility for Company matching 401K benefit after 3 months of employment.Position Overview: This management role provides leadership and direction to construction crews, rendering hands-on assistance. Accountable for all aspects of each project to which crews are assigned. Responsible for field operations, customer relations and business development in an assigned area, territory, customer or project. Manage the operations with focus to safety, compliance, efficiency, cost management and innovation. Manage construction activities to ensure company procedures are followed and compliance is maintained relative to all applicable local, state and federal regulatory requirements.Essential Functions:Champion own safety by modeling behaviors, maintaining a drug free work environment and performing corrective action when appropriateServe as point of contact with customers, subcontractors and vendorsManage and oversee the execution of field deliverables according to customer specifications and contract requirementsManage the planning and executing of projects and contracts by organizing work methods and developing schedulesManage cost control, margin expectations, productivity, change orders and equipment reportingModel outstanding leadership skills and foster those skills in othersManage and develop labor and employee relationsDevelop and maintain business relationships including attending customer meetings and prepare pre-qualification documents, proposals and bidsMaintain liaison with operations to ensure all required materials and equipment support project activities and scheduleEnsure all project work is compliant with installation standards and is being performed safely and correctlyDirectly responsible for managing office functions and personnelExercise decision-making authorityPromote and monitor the safety team membersOversees field support analyst in particular areaAssists Operations Manager as necessaryQualifications:Required: 5+ years of experience leading multiple crews in gas utility construction operationsProven history of high productivity and ability to consistently meet or exceed production targetsExperience in contract growth and operational buildout, including scaling crews and resourcesStrong background in natural gas distribution construction, including mainline, service, and tie-in workDemonstrated ability to manage labor efficiency, equipment utilization, and job costing to maintain profitabilityExperience coordinating with utility clients, inspectors, and municipalities to ensure compliance and schedule adherenceProven ability to develop and mentor foremen and field personnel to improve performance and leadership capabilityExperience managing multiple projects simultaneously, including scheduling, material coordination, and subcontractor oversightPreferred: Strong interpersonal, team-oriented skills, capable of performing horizontal directional drilling installation, self-motivation and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolutionOther DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
