Accounts Receivable I - Cash Applications

Carson has an opening for an Accounts Receivable I to join our Credit team. Were looking for a candidate that has excellent written and verbal communication skills, has a positive can-do attitude, and the ability to remain focused and organized in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will be interacting with the internal sales team as well as external customers. You will be responsible for processing payments into ERP system, remote bank deposits and assisting with incoming calls. Essential Functions Posting A/R items such as checks, credit cards, EFT, & ACH payments. Credit card processing. Scanning checks and back-up information. Various projects and tasks as assigned by Manager. Serve as a primary or secondary backup for other members of the Credit department. Maintain a team environment with other employees and departments. Qualifications Proven work experience in similar role (minimum 1 year experience) Proficient with 10-key, Microsoft Office Suite (Word & Excel) Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Ability to build relationships with the sales department, customers, and remote branch locations. Pass a background check, drug test, and license check. Work Environment/Physical Requirements Interact with others in person, over the phone, and via other devices. Move about facility to access files, office machinery, and other equipment. Ability to work in office setting. Data entry while seated for greater than 6 hours. Occasional lifting weights up to 25 lbs. Work schedule may vary and may include occasional evenings and weekends, due to special events, inclement weather, etc. Employer Notes Background check and drug screen will be conducted and driving record verified.
