Successful outcomes start and finish with eNGINE.Role OvervieweNGINE is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join a collaborative engineering team developing and supporting modern enterprise applications. This position is backend focused, with an emphasis on Java, Spring, REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture.The ideal engineer enjoys solving complex technical problems, contributing to architectural and development decisions, and working as part of a team that values engineering quality and continuous improvement. Experience with Angular is a plus, but strong backend engineers without significant Angular experience will also be considered.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and enhance enterprise applications using Java and Spring/Spring Boot.Build and maintain RESTful services and APIs that support business-critical applications.Develop distributed services using microservices and event-driven patterns.Work with messaging and streaming technologies such as Kafka to support reliable, scalable application communication.Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, from technical design and implementation through testing, deployment, and production support.Partner with engineers, data professionals, product stakeholders, and business teams to translate requirements into maintainable technical solutions.Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and engineering standards across the development team.Help identify opportunities to improve application performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.Contribute to front-end development when needed, with Angular experience considered a strong plus.Stay current with emerging engineering practices and share relevant knowledge with teammates and the broader technical community.QualificationsProfessional software development experience with Java.Strong hands-on experience with Spring or Spring Boot.Experience developing and integrating REST APIs.Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed application design.Experience with Kafka or comparable messaging/event-streaming technologies.Ability to work effectively within an Agile engineering environment.Strong understanding of software development fundamentals, testing, debugging, and source control.Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Preferred ExperienceExperience developing applications with Angular or another modern JavaScript framework.Exposure to cloud-based application development and modern DevOps practices.Experience working with relational databases and SQL.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and containerized applications.Experience in large-scale enterprise or financial-services environments.Next StepsNo C2C, relocation, referral, or sponsorship candidates for this role.
