United Cerebral Palsy of Long Island is seeking a F/T Registered Nurse for our Children's Center located in Commack.
(This is a 12 month position that includes all school paid vacations and requires working the 6 week summer program).
Responsibilities Include:
Provide first aid and emergency treatment for the students
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Monitor safety conditions within program
Maintain infection control standars
Maintain medical history and immunizations for all students
Provide staff in-services
Provide Tuberculin testing
Monitor/liaison between private duty nurse and program
Participate in medical/education program conferences for all students when requested
Clinical Supervision of LPN/s and per diems
Document and follow- up on all of the above
Current NYS Registered Nurse license required.
Minimum of 2 year college or graduate school of nursing and 1-6 months related experience and/or training.
Experience with pediatric population and/or children with disabilities a plus.
