Job Type: Contract Job Category: Nursing Job title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Float Pool - Med surg Adult Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Float Pool Med Surg Adult unit will be responsible for providing direct patient care to adult patients in the medical-surgical department. This position will require flexibility in working across different units within the hospital to meet patient needs and staffing requirements. The Float Pool RN will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver quality care to patients. Responsibilities and Duties: 1. Provide direct patient care to adult patients in the medical-surgical department. 2. Assess patient conditions and coordinate with healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans. 3. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders. 4. Monitor patient vital signs and responses to treatments. 5. Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care. 6. Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care. 7. Follow hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and confidentiality. 8. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Qualifications and Skills: 1. Valid RN license in the state of practice. 2. BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred. 3. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical-surgical setting. 4. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. 5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 7. Flexibility to work varied shifts and adapt to changing patient needs. 8.
