Licensed Practical Nurse
Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and be skilled in various clinical settings, including emergency rooms, medical-surgical units, and outpatient clinics. As an LPN, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients while collaborating with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
Assist with medical procedures, including tube feeding and basic wound care.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and coding for patient records, including ICD-9 coding.
Participate in case management activities, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Educate patients and their families on health management and post-discharge care.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Experience
Previous experience in an emergency room, clinic, or medical-surgical setting is preferred.
Familiarity with medical documentation practices and coding standards is a plus.
Experience in case management or working within an OR setting is beneficial.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential.
Must possess a valid LPN license in the state of practice.
