Automation Engineer (Greer)
Main MissionsFollows up design and realization of assembly equipment (serial or prototyping) according to customer requirements, project specifications (costs, timing, quality), assembly standards/best practices and HSE/ergonomics requirementsEnsures proper equipment handover to the plant (performance convergence, training for plant team)Participates in technical knowledge improvement of assembly technologies domain and in lessons learnt for projects under his/her responsibilityFollows the Support Optimap/Optipro project development including AVP phases Support operations in case of technical major/new issueEnsures consistent knowledge sharing and transfer by participating in assembly networks, OPTIPRO or Optimap work packagesHSE (100% conformity) - Project quality/cost/delivery - Standards conformityResponsibilitiesClassic AssemblyFollows HSE and ergonomics standards and rulesParticipates in the conception of the assembly process and equipment with EPM, MPM and associated extended teamSupports MPM/IPM for technical choices in order to improve the processEstablishes technical and economic analysis of suppliers' offers, together with purchasing department, in order to select the best solutionFollow-up of Design and Realization of Assembly EquipmentRealizes functional specifications regarding project elements and standard elementsValidates equipment study (including supervision of FMEA), ergonomics study and the choice of possible solutionsUpdates/adapts former feasibility study and technical choices if needed (Perimeter changes)Validates equipment in supplier workshop, fine tune the equipment in the plant and ensure smooth transfer to plant teamEnsures the tuning of the equipment is properly done following instructions given by EPM/MPM, in order to converge to the product conformityValidates necessary documentation for each equipmentAnalyses results of actions plan, of validation plan and risk plansParticipates in capability validation for each equipmentParticipates in lessons learnt activities, productivity projects... led in the assembly departmentDuring those activities, the job holder has to apply or has to make applied integrated management system (Quality, Environment, and Safety).He/she is responsible of the destruction of its parts in the local rules respect.Assembly AutomationHSE / QualityApplies and promotes application of HSE and quality policies and procedures including:PLC & robot & HMI program risk analysisFollow up and promote HSE validationAssistance to OperationsSupports operations in case of major or new issue on assembly processes/equipment, including:Automation audit on equipment/cellSupplier robotic/plc/hmi program modificationRobot/automation program adjustment during tuning phase/retrofit/re-useParticipates in operations productivity workshopsCustomer / Industrial ProjectsValidates technical feasibility of robotics aspects and participate to design for manufacturing if requiredSupports the definition of equipment specifications & supplier sourcingSupports the validation and commissioning of robotized applications following development of robotic equipment standard (functional analysis, validation plan, project report and so on)Ensures methodological and technical standards are applied in all the projectsConsolidates lessons learnt from the projects into metier best practices and standardsMetier ActivitiesContribute to robotic network activities linked to central roadmapParticipate during definition/define of technical standardsIndustrializes validated solutionsKnowledge SharingParticipate in assembly metier networksTrains new PPA, MPM, EPM... development of robotic equipment standardDesired ProfileEngineering Technician with experience or Engineering Master degree in Automatism and Robotics2/3 years of experience in assembly field in plant or equipment supplier or other automotive tier 1 supplier as assembly equipment project managerPossible for young engineer graduate with former experience in assembly as trainee or internAdvanced experience in robotics and automatismGood understanding of HSE/ergonomicsKnowledge in RoboticsFANUC robot: TPE language, simulation Roboguide softwareKUKA robot: KCL language, simulation Kuka Sim Pro softwareKnowledge in PLC/HMIAllen Bradley: Ladder language, structured language, RSLogix, FactoryTalk View software knowledgeSiemens: TIA Portal, Step 7, Ladder/Structured Text, WinCC HMI
