PLC Technician
We are seeking a hands-on PLC Technician to support automation and maintenance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is critical in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and driving continuous improvement across operations.Key ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and maintain PLCs, VFDs, and related automation systemsWrite and modify basic PLC programs (primarily Ladder Logic)Analyze existing control logic and implement improvementsPerform equipment installations, upgrades, and repairsExecute preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performanceDiagnose electrical systems including 3-phase power (up to 480V), variable voltage, and 4-20mA circuitsIdentify recurring issues and recommend effective solutionsEnsure all work is completed safely and in compliance with established proceduresCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support production goalsRequirementsVocational or Technical degree (or equivalent experience)2+ years of experience troubleshooting and programming PLCsStrong understanding of Ladder LogicAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and repair manualsWorking knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systemsPreferred QualificationsAssociate degreeExperience with Rockwell Automation PLCsAbility to work effectively within a team environment
