Job TitlePerforms a variety of dish, food and guest service duties under general supervision. Click here for more detailsEssential FunctionsCollects cookware and dishes from within department as necessaryCleans and sanitizes cookware, dishes, patient trays, and distributes them appropriatelyDelivers and presents trays to patients using the standard process.Performs food and beverage preparation functions according to system standards (following standard recipe, assembling ingredients) for example, prepares salads, sandwiches, vegetables, and fruit.Follows standardized practices relating to Nutrition Services (e.g. dining experience, meal delivery, maintaining required stock levels)Performs housekeeping functions including cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, floor care, and equipment (oven, fryer, hoods).Performs accurate cash/credit transactions according to system standards and independently resolves basic customer service issues.SkillsActive ListeningCoordinating tasks with othersGuest focusedCommunicates clearlyAttention to detailQualificationsFood Handler Permit or ServSafe certification is required by first day of workOne year of experience in customer service, food and beverage service or patient service preferredDemonstrated ability to work with modified diets (preferred)Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service (preferred)Physical Requirements:Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.Frequent interactions with customers that require employee to communicate as well as understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer, phone, and cable set-up and use.Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment. Will also work on hands and knees and bend to set-up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment.
