Position SummaryThe Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for leading all financial functions for the real estate organization, providing strategic oversight of accounting, finance, capital markets, and operational performance. This role partners closely with ownership, executive leadership, and operations to drive financial discipline, maximize asset value, and support growth strategies across commercial and/or residential real estate portfolios.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Leadership & StrategyServe as a strategic partner to ownership and executive leadership on financial planning, capital strategy, and investment decisionsProvide forward‐looking financial analysis to support acquisitions, dispositions, refinancing, and development projectsDrive long‐term business planning, budgeting, and forecasting across the portfolioAccounting & Reporting OversightOversee full‐cycle accounting, financial reporting, and month‐end/year‐end close processesEnsure accurate, timely, and GAAP‐compliant financial statementsReview and approve balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and cash flow reportingLead external audit, tax coordination, and lender reportingReal Estate & Property FinanceOversee portfolio‐level financial performance, including NOI, lease economics, CAM reconciliations, and rent roll accuracyPartner with asset management and property operations to analyze property performance and identify opportunities for value creationSupport lease structuring, escalations, and compliance in collaboration with legal and leasing teamsCapital Markets & TreasuryManage relationships with lenders, investors, and external advisorsOversee debt compliance, covenant reporting, cash management, and treasury functionsLead refinancing efforts and capital stack optimizationTeam Leadership & OperationsLead and develop accounting and finance teams, ensuring strong internal controls and scalable processesEstablish policies, procedures, and systems to support portfolio growthDrive process improvements, system enhancements, and operational efficienciesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience within real estateStrong knowledge of real estate accounting, financial reporting, and portfolio managementExperience working with ownership groups, lenders, auditors, and investorsProven leadership experience managing and developing finance teamsProficiency with real estate and accounting software (Yardi, MRI, or similar)Advanced Excel and financial modeling skillsIdeal Candidate ProfileStrategic yet hands‐on finance leaderDeep understanding of real estate operations and financial driversStrong communicator who can translate financial data into actionable insightsComfortable operating in fast‐paced, entrepreneurial, or owner‐led environmentsAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
