Job Summary As a Chassis Product Engineer, you manage Supermicro chassis product development, review product design and specification, control the product schedule, and ensure time-to-market product launch and on-time delivery. This individual will have the capability to work together with a variety of departments and teams throughout the company to enable and develop application-optimized chassis products. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Develop and manage the product life cycle of server chassis products, including product development phase: product conception, specification, scheduling, prototyping, tooling; as well as mass production phase: product support and maintenance of the entire product life cycle Create and present chassis product roadmap Closely work with engineering teams to review the product specification and design of chassis mechanical, thermal, system architecture to enable competitive, high quality server chassis product Lead cross‑functional team to ensure time‑to‑market product launch and on‑time delivery Closely work with overseas ODM vendor on server chassis product design and development, design review, chassis parts tooling fabrication and production ramp‑up, set‑up Work with marketing and sales on new chassis products launch and promotion Qualifications BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Material Engineering, or other relevant engineering field preferred Minimum of 1 year system or mechanical engineering experience is desirable Experience in configuring computer systems Familiar with Windows Server and Linux operating systems Solid background in mechanical a must Experience in ProE, CAD design Good communication skills, including both written and verbal Salary Range $82,000 - $133,000. The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
