This contract opportunity operates from 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm, starting March 2, 2026, and requires a valid Texas Pharmacy Technician license.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare medications accurately by reading prescriptions, calculating dosages, measuring, mixing, counting, and labeling medications for pharmacist dispensing.Dispense medications while processing insurance claims, maintaining patient profiles, and filing prescriptions meticulously.Manage inventory by tracking stock levels, entering orders, rotating stock, and placing supply orders to maintain pharmacy readiness.Support daily pharmacy workflow including opening and closing procedures to ensure efficient, timely service delivery.Communicate professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and internal teams to assist with medication awareness and ensure excellent customer service.Adhere strictly to compliance standards, quality checklists, safety protocols, and maintain cleanliness within the work environment.Operate dispensing machines or robotics, support IV room activities, and assist with compounding sterile and non-sterile preparations when applicable.Qualifications & Desired ExperienceCurrent Texas Pharmacy Technician licenseProven experience in medication preparation and dispensingStrong knowledge of pharmacy inventory managementExcellent communication skills and professionalism in a healthcare settingFamiliarity with pharmacy workflow and compliance standardsAbility to operate pharmacy machinery and support compounding processes is a plusLocation:San Antonio, TexasThis contract role offers the chance to enhance your pharmacy technician skills within a long-term care setting, working flexible evening hours.
