Director of Information Technology / IT Infrastructure Director📍 Columbia, SC (Onsite)(WILL CONSIDER RELOCATORS)OverviewWe are seeking a hands‑on IT leader to oversee and support enterprise infrastructure across networking, cloud, and data center environments. This role is responsible for ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of all IT systems while leading a team and partnering with leadership to support ongoing technology strategy and growth.This is a highly visible role that blends day‑to‑day operational ownership with long‑term infrastructure planning and team leadership.What You’ll DoManage and optimize enterprise infrastructure across network (LAN/WAN/SD‑WAN), data center, and cloud environmentsEnsure high availability, performance, and reliability of mission‑critical systems and network resourcesOversee and maintain hyperconverged infrastructure (VMware/Nutanix) and enterprise storage systemsSupport and secure cloud platforms including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, and AI-enabled toolsLead troubleshooting efforts, root cause analysis, and vendor coordination to resolve complex technical issuesPlan and execute system upgrades, patching, backups, and disaster recovery processesPartner with leadership to design and implement infrastructure improvements aligned with business objectivesManage IT projects, vendors, and internal teams to deliver successful outcomesMentor and develop IT staff while driving best practices across infrastructure, security, and operationsSupport business continuity planning and incident response when neededWhat We’re Looking For5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or IT operations leadershipStrong experience with:Network infrastructure (Cisco, LAN/WAN/SD‑WAN)VMware/Nutanix or hyperconverged environmentsCloud platforms (Azure, AWS, M365)Windows Server and Active DirectorySecurity‑focused mindset within an enterprise environmentExperience managing vendors, infrastructure projects, and internal teamsStrong understanding of:Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)Network circuits (MPLS, DIA, SIP)Data center operations and storage systemsAbility to troubleshoot complex systems and lead problem resolution effortsPreferred QualificationsExperience in financial services or credit union environmentsCertifications such as Cisco, VMware, Azure, or LinuxExperience with telephony / call center systemsExposure to disaster recovery and business continuity planningWhy JoinOpportunity to own and shape the entire IT infrastructure ecosystemBlend of hands-on technical leadership and strategic influenceCollaborative environment with visibility to executive leadershipStable, growth-oriented organization with strong technology investmentInterested?If you’re looking for a role where you can lead, build, and improve enterprise infrastructure while making a direct impact on business operations—we’d love to connect.
