We are immediately hiring a *Cook* in McGregor, TX * Position type: Full-time, Contract * Location: McGregor, Texas 76657 * Pay Rate: $21.00–$26.50/hour, based on experience and skill level. Final pay will be determined by the hiring manager during the interview process. * Duration: 3 months (opportunity for permanent conversion based on performance and business needs) As a *COOK, you* will: * This role is ideal for candidates with a basic understanding of cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen operations. * The successful candidate will assist with food preparation, operate assigned kitchen stations, and maintain cleanliness while delivering quality meals in accordance with clients' standards. * Set up, operate, and maintain a clean and safe workstation. * Complete daily food preparation and ingredient prep tasks. * Cook and plate meals according to recipes and quality standards. * Assist the team in meeting production timelines during meal service. * Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and food storage areas. * Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. * Support other kitchen operations as assigned by supervisors. *Basic Qualifications* * High school diploma or equivalent. * Culinary degree *or* 2+ years of experience in the food service industry. *Preferred Qualifications* * Basic knife skills and familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment. * Texas Food Handler Card (or willingness to obtain one). * Strong professionalism and work ethic. * Experience in a corporate dining environment. * Good verbal and written communication skills. * Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook). * Understanding of kitchen hierarchy and food preparation techniques. * Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. * Willingness to learn and work collaboratively.
