Electrical Test Engineer
Key Responsibilities
Test Execution: Perform functional and power testing on PCBAs and electronics control boxes.
Advanced Troubleshooting: Lead failure analysis to the component level using schematics and diagnostic tools.
Instrumentation: Operate oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, DMMs, and signal generators.
Data Management: Record test results, identify failure trends, and report to engineering teams.
Process Improvement: Contribute to DFM/DFT reviews and refine test procedures.
System Integration: Assist with cable harness management and electromechanical assembly.
Required Qualifications
Education: Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or equivalent experience.
Experience: 5+ years testing complex electro-mechanical or optical systems (aerospace, medical, etc.).
Technical Skills: Ability to read electrical schematics and wire lists; SMT and PTH soldering skills.
Software: Proficiency with Linux/Unix command line interfaces.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Automation: Experience with Python scripts for automated testing.
Tools: Familiarity with PLM, Jira, Confluence, and ERP software.
Specialization: Background in RF testing or high-precision analog control.
Certifications: Industry standards such as IPC-A-610, IPC-J-STD-001, or IPC/WHMA-A-620.
