Though not mandatory, the ideal candidate will have previous experience drafting window and/or door systems. This person will support the production of shop drawings, fabrication details, and installation diagrams for aluminum window and door systems. The AutoCAD Drafter must possess exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills while being results-driven with exceptional computer skills.RequirementsEssential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):Able to produce basic plans, elevations, sections, and detail views under supervisionAccountable for generating drawings according to the requirements provided by the senior designer, engineers, and/or clientAble to create both 2D and 3D drawingsAssist in preparing fabrication and installation details for standard window and door assembliesResponsible for incorporating changes or modifications according to the suggestions of the senior designer and/or clientApply NAS drafting templates, layer conventions, and title block standardsLearn to read window/door schedules and basic structural sheetsIdentify missing information or unclear conditions and ask clarifying questionsLiaison between the design team and engineers to gain insight into the projectResponsible for supporting engineering with minor drawing adjustments for fabrication and assist in preparing simplified field diagrams or as-built documentation when required. Assist in maintaining block libraries and improving reusable CAD componentsSkills:Certificate or diploma in Drafting, CAD Technology, Architectural Technology or related field2-4 years of experience as an AutoCAD Drafter. Experience with window/door systems, curtainwall, storefront, or metal fabrication is preferred but not mandatory Must be proficient with AutoCAD (model space/paper space, viewports, blocks, XREF basics)A familiarity with Bluebeam or PDF markup toolsExposure to Revit or 3D modeling toolsMust have a basic understanding of architectural and shop drawingsStrong attention to detailFluent in MS OfficeFluency in English, both written and verbalBenefitsFull-time positionSalary Rate Range: $52,000 - $62,000 (commensurate with experience)Medical, Dental and Vision benefits offered401(k)PTO (Paid Time Off)Employee Training
