Maintenance Road Crew

UTA is looking for a Maintenance Road Crew!As a Member Of The Road Crew, You WillMaintain system-wide passenger Facilities, including:Bus stops, bus shelters, train stations, park and ride lots, restrooms, and transportation hubsThis position is also responsible for the removal of snow and ice on passenger facilities, including:Operating and maintaining various snow removal equipment, large dump trucks and trailers, various steam/high-pressure equipment, street sweepers/scrubbers, groundskeeping equipment, and sign post installation equipmentYou will also be assigned various light maintenance tasks and be required to clean up biohazards.Pay Range: $25.07 per hour per hour starting (five-year wage progression)ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalentMust have at least one year of verifiable experience in any applicable maintenance repair field or heavy equipment operationDemonstrated abilities with the use and function of hand tools and sign post installation equipmentAble to pass required DOT physical and obtain a DOT cardMust have a valid Class A CDLBe a safe driver with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 yearsHave no convictions for driving under the influence of alcohol or any drugs within the past 10 yearsBe able to pass all required safety courses applicable to Facilities Maintenance which includes Fork Lift CertificationBe able to pass the Facilities MET testMust be able to work some overtime and holidays as neededMust be proficient at a basic level in Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookThis job requires regular and predictable attendanceBenefits OfferedHealth, dental, vision, life/AD&D, and moreOnsite Health and Wellness Clinics for medical care at no cost to employees, spouses, domestic partners, and dependent children.14 days of accrued paid time off10 paid holidays and two paid floating holidays per year.Retirement optionsGenerous tuition reimbursement for higher educationTraining, development, and career advancement opportunities.Paid parental leave for birth, adoption, and child placementFree transit passes for employees, their spouses, and their dependent children.Employee assistance programUTA Wellness programFree on-site fitness facilities and discounted membership to VASA FitnessOur mission is to move Utah.
