To learn more about our company culture, philosophy, and benefits, please visit our company page.This position is not eligible for work authorization or sponsorship.Job Responsibilities and RequirementsResponsibilitiesWorks under immediate supervision of senior team members.Must Follow all defined instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions.Designs in CAD electrical control panel layouts, bills of materials and schematics.Program PLCs for control systems that include field devices such as photoeyes, shaft encoders, barcode scanners, solenoids, scales, VFDs, E-stops and other I/O devices.Assists with the creation and teaching of associated training.Assists with project commissioning and troubleshooting of system installations.Perform control system inspections and verification to ensure installation quality and compliance with documentationVerify that actual work matches all documentation.Responsible for the installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software. This includes supporting Mechanical and Electrical Field installers.RequirementsB.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or like equivalent from an accredited Institution0-2 years of related experiencesHas knowledge of commonly-used controls engineering concepts, practices, and proceduresMust pass drug screening and background checkMust have the ability to lift 70 pounds and climb laddersAbility to understand and work from electrical schematics and mechanical drawingsAbility to understand manufacturer data sheets and apply them in practiceAbility to configure PLC's, HMI's, computers, networks, cameras, field instrumentation devices, and variable frequency drives which are used to control sorters, conveyors, and other related equipmentAbility to code, C/C++, JAVA, Matlab, Python or IEC 61131 Languages (Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block)Ability to develop electrical documentation packages, descriptions of operations, interfaces between systems, and be on-site during startup to coordinate and help resolve issuesEffective communication (verbal and written) and relationship skills with engineering groups, customers, suppliers and subcontractorsA self-managed individual who is a team playerAbility to travel, work weekends, holidays and overtime when required (up to 90% of the year).Position located at Intralox offices in Baltimore, MarylandIntralox's benefit program is a major part of an employee's total compensation from the company.
